An MOSFET/IGBT based inverters required gate driver circuit to feed gate pulse from micro controllers into high voltage side. low voltage and high voltages must be isolated to avoid short circuits. an isolation circuit required separate voltage source for gate drive. A new design simplify the isolation and driver circuits. Micro controller TTL long pulse can be given into oscillator power (UJT relaxation oscillator), output of oscillator will fed into pulse transformer primary. Output from secondary of transformer is rectified and feed into Gate pulse of MOSFET/IGBT. Pulse transformer ratio can be canned to meet-out minimum gate voltage and the output is fully isolated without external power supply. This will reduce the cost of inverter design.
