🎉We can now proudly present the winners of the TAPAS Community Challenge 2018! 🎉
Congratulations to Team "Wireless Charging" (idea 56). We are really excited for all finalists and a really big thank you to all participants for your interest in this challenge!

We got over 200 submissions! 65 ideas got one or more TAPAS boards, 10 submissions were presentation-ready.
And now we have 5 finalists! YEAH 😃 The finalist's idea numbers were 40, 56, 68, 212 and 213.
What's next?
We are now preparing the next steps for you, the community. Please stay tuned!
We are working on a forum and a separate webpage. If you have any question please don't hesitate to contact us via email!

Power sharing between parallel inverters in changeable Microgrid by SDIs.

Goal of this project:

1. Reasonable control parallel inverters by droop control.

2. Improve performance of power sharing in complex microgrid case.

3. SDIs is a great solution for research and application, aim to use it in this project.

4. The benefits will be apply for project relevant renewable energy.

Technical set-up:

The system look like a small complex microgrid. It include two DC source to emulate different renewable energy generator, also two different loads, when the micro sources and loads had change, analysis how the microgrid will operate and how the power output from parallel inverters.

Implement this idea:

1. Use SDI as the core inverter part in microgrid.

2. Parallel inverter and different loads apply in the microgrid.

3. Get the system operation feedback and analysis the power sharing, also the performance of SDIs.

Team:

PhD student: Li Lei. Supervisors: Dr Mohammed Elgendy, Dr Neal Wade, Dr Salaheddine Ethni.

In this project, it need two TAPAS boards for parallel inverters.

Many thanks.

    Hi Nora,

Thanks for your reply, this three picture below, the first picture is the system look like, it can use different type of renewable power sources, the system can simulate different operation mode in micro grid as well distributed generation, it can be used in many occasion; the second and third picture shows the output of two inverters in DG1 and DG2, it can be seen that the system have good performance in power sharing between parallel inverters.

    Kind regards

    Li
