Renewable and battery supported mobile multi voltage level power source

The goal is to provide a mobile or off-grid multi voltage level power source for illumination or charging/operation mobile devices like cell phones, tablets or notebooks. As the system is driven by solar panels and supported by battery storage an independent and adjustable power source is provided. TAPAS is working as a DC/DC-converter boosting the variable solar panel voltage to the desired battery voltage level in order to charge it. A PMW-TAPAS DC/DC-converter provides adjustable output voltage.

You can apply the system off-grid where infrastructure is missing like in many 3rd world regions, at camping or even in domestic area like on your balcony.

    Hey, cool idea!
So that means that you need at least two TAPAS boards?

    Hi Thomas, thanks.

The whole configuration includes two TAPAS boards. In a first approach one can design both functions applying just one board to prove the concept.
