The main idea is to build an electric GoKart power management, and use a Tapas board to have an efficient brushless motor controller and battery charger.
The aim of this project is to show a real case of cost savings on the development of power management of a small electrical vehicle, and make possible to use one Tapas Board to control the motor and charge the battery of the GoKart only updating the firmware of the TAPAS board. The best scenario is to have both firmwares inside the board (memory wise this needs to be checked ) and activate each one of those based on state machine controlled by the raspberry pi, depending the stage of the Gokart ( charging or driving) .
If time available, max power control limitation control to the electric motor, so this GoKart can be used from child of different ages. ( limitation to be set over smartphone of the parent ).
