🎉We can now proudly present the winners of the TAPAS Community Challenge 2018! 🎉
Congratulations to Team "Wireless Charging" (idea 56). We are really excited for all finalists and a really big thank you to all participants for your interest in this challenge!

We got over 200 submissions! 65 ideas got one or more TAPAS boards, 10 submissions were presentation-ready.
And now we have 5 finalists! YEAH 😃 The finalist's idea numbers were 40, 56, 68, 212 and 213.
What's next?
We are now preparing the next steps for you, the community. Please stay tuned!
We are working on a forum and a separate webpage. If you have any question please don't hesitate to contact us via email!

Power boost from recuperated power for small applications e.g. wheelchairs, bicycles

In order to recuperate power and drive momentum in small applications such as bicycles or wheelchairs, an inverter has to be flexible and adaptive in order to optimally drive the application or charge the battery. That is for example a downhill trip could charge the battery while keeping speed within limits and then drive the uphill trip afterwards.

On the market not many power inverters for these type of applications exist. They usually allow to drive the motor but not to charge the battery.

With SDI's software flexibility these challenges could be addressed.

Could you please provide some more details how this is related to the TAPAS board?

Hey Andreas! This sounds exactly like your description of the idea. Again I need to ask you for more insight into you plan. Could you please provide some more information ;-)
