Our aim is to change an existing automation system with a production line in such a way that no more PLC controllers are used. All actuators and sensors should communicate as IoT devices via OPC UA directly into the cloud.
With the Software Defined Inverter Tapas it is possible to control all drives of the conveyor belts via a Raspberry PI directly from the cloud and connect them directly without any control layer in between. E.g. OPC UA Companion specifications are defined for the drives and used to call up the basic functions directly, for example by using methods.
We will use 24V BLDC motors with gear box and without gear box (SN19-BL36.43)
What I will need is at least one Software Defined Inverter TAPAS.

We use a test account of Microsoft Azure. On the Cloud an application with node.js or C# will help controlling the logic. The cloud to device (C2D) connection will also be implemented on the Raspberry with Node-RED.
