🎉We can now proudly present the winners of the TAPAS Community Challenge 2018! 🎉
Congratulations to Team "Wireless Charging" (idea 56). We are really excited for all finalists and a really big thank you to all participants for your interest in this challenge!

We got over 200 submissions! 65 ideas got one or more TAPAS boards, 10 submissions were presentation-ready.
And now we have 5 finalists! YEAH 😃 The finalist's idea numbers were 40, 56, 68, 212 and 213.
What's next?
We are now preparing the next steps for you, the community. Please stay tuned!

Kids with TAPAS

Calliope mini (Calliope.cc) is being used by around 50000 kids right now – combining TAPAS with it will broaden the idea of the mini – and TAPAS!

With around ten TAPAS we would be able to simulate a class situation and build climate experiments and automation enhancements to kids from eight years on. Calliope mini is a proven hardware that can be programmed by visual blocks. If the mini drives TAPAS we could reach and teach kids the power of tech and code easily.

    Hello Joern,

    Thank you for your submission. I like the Idea of already teaching kids in their first years of school some technical skills. But we have one big problem here (I cite the README from the official github repo):

    "The TAPAS community inverter board is not a toy! It is intended for laboratory use only and may only be operated by experienced personell (engineers, scientists, qualified makers)." [https://github.com/SDI-SoftwareDefinedInverter/TAPAS/blob/master/README.md]

    We will discuss your Idea in the next meeting but I don't think we can provide you with TAPAS Boards.
